Title:Slovenian Country Risk and Foreign Direct Investments
Abstract:Slovenia is among the thirty countries according to the assessment of state development. This high assessment is a result of a political, economical and social circumstances in Slovenia. Slovenia had to go through different reforms in the time of transition if she wanted to have a good assessment. When Slovenia became independent, she had to find new export markets and this was probably a difficult task. Slovenia was able to keep a high level of employment, although some countries were facing employment difficulties during the transition. The assessment of state risk should have an effect on investments. If the assessment is high there should be no troubles with getting indirect investors. This is Slovenia's weak point, despite the assessment of state risk, because Slovenia exports indirect investments. This is probably the fault of Slovenia's government which interfer with economy. In the past interests of a few people overcame the interests of community. The program of inviting foreign investors is to weak.
Keywords:Risk, country risk, economy of Slovenia, foreign direct investments
