Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Pravljica oživljena z lutko obravnava pomen in možnosti uporabe lutke kot didaktičnega in izraznega sredstva v vzgojno-izobraževalnem procesu v predšolskem obdobju.

Title:A fairytale brought to life by puppets
Abstract:The diploma thesis entitled A Fairy Tale Brought to Life by Puppets explores the significance and potential of using puppets as a didactic and expressive tool in the educational process during the preschool period. The theoretical part presents the key characteristics of puppets, their impact on children's development, and their possible applications in kindergarten. It highlights the role of puppets as a tool for developing speech and language skills, social interactions, and creativity. Various methods of working with puppets are also presented, as well as the importance of the educator’s planning and management of puppet-based activities. Special emphasis is placed on the connection between puppets and fairy tales, which enhances children’s imagination and personal experience. The thesis explains how storytelling with puppets can further stimulate a child’s attention, comprehension, and participation. The practical part presents an example of a planned and implemented project in which the fairy tale and puppet dramatization intertwine as tools for fostering children’s creativity, self-expression, and cooperation. Puppets prove to be important means for the child’s holistic development and for high-quality pedagogical work in kindergarten. During the process of making the puppets, the focus was placed on the children – their ideas, concepts, and choices were encouraged and respected, allowing the puppet to become an expression of their creativity.
