Title:Primerjava pristopov na področju vzgoje in izobraževanja za trajnostni razvoj v javnem in montessori vrtcu : diplomsko delo

Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava za današnje čase bistven vidik sodobne predšolske vzgoje. Ta je vključevanje trajnostnega razvoja v vzgojno izobraževalne prakse v vrtci montessori in javnih vrtcih. V delu se osredotočamo na analizo različnih pristopov. Torej pristopov montessori in javnih vrtcev k vzgoji in izobraževanju. Zanima nas tudi na kakšen način oba pristopa vključujeta vzgojo in izobraževanje za trajnostni razvoj v svoje delo. V teoretičnem delu predstavljamo koncepte trajnostnega razvoja, njegovo vrednost in pomen za razvoj našega planeta v prihodnosti. Poleg tega opredeljujemo tudi vlogo vzgojiteljev, kot pomembnih oseb v vzgoji otroka v zgodnjem obdobju, pri uvajanju trajnostnih vrednot in praks. V praktičnem delu, ki smo ga oblikovali na podlagi teoretičnih izhodišč smo želeli ugotoviti, kako različni pristopi vplivajo na oblikovanje okoljske ozaveščenosti otrok in kakšne možnosti obstajajo za izboljšavo na tem področju. Praktični del tako vsebuje pripravo in analizo izvedene dejavnosti v vrtcu montessori in javnem vrtcu. Zapisane so tudi naše ugotovitve po izvajanju dejavnosti. Ugotovili smo, da se razlike pojavljajo že pri rokovanju s predmeti. Otroci iz vrtca montessori so bolj vešči rokovanja s pripomočki in prelaganjem ter zajemanjem kot otroci iz javnega vrtca. Pri razumevanju o škodljivosti odpadkov za vodo so se prav tako pokazale razlike med otroki iz obeh pristopov. Otroci iz javnega vrtca so potrebovali bistveno več verbalne pomoči in spodbujanja kot otroci iz vrtca montessori. Iz ugotovitev smo oblikovali predloge za izboljšave vzgojnih praks v smer trajnostnega razvoja.

Title:Comparison of approaches in the field of education for a sustainable development in public and Montessori kindergartens
Abstract:This thesis deals with an essential modern-day aspect of contemporary preschool education the integration of sustainable development into educational practices in Montessori and public kindergartens. The thesis focuses on the analysis of various approaches; namely, the approaches of Montessori and public kindergartens to the field of education. It also takes an interest in how both approaches incorporate education for sustainable development into their work. The theoretical part presents the concepts of sustainable development, its value, and its importance for the future development of our planet. In addition, it defines the role of educators as significant figures in early childhood education in integrating sustainable values and practices. The practical part, which was designed based on theoretical principles, wanted to determine how various approaches impact the formation of a child's environmental awareness, and what possibilities for improvement of this field are possible. The practical part thus includes the preparation and analysis of activities carried out in Montessori and a public kindergarten, as well as findings and suggestions for the improvement of educational practices in the direction of sustainable development. It also records our findings after the activities were carried out. We have found that the differences appear even when it comes to handling objects: children from the Montessori kindergarten are more skilled at handling tools, transferring and picking the objects up than children from the public kindergarten. The differences between children from both approaches were also evident when it came to their understanding of the harmfulness of waste to water. Children from the public kindergarten needed significantly more verbal assistance and encouragement than children from the Montessori kindergarten. Based on our findings, we have developed proposals for improvements of educational practices in the direction of sustainable development.
