Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo obravnavali digitalizacijo in optimizacijo procesov v nevladnem športnem društvu – drsalnem klubu. Zaključki in priporočila magistrskega dela potrjujejo, da digitalizacija pomembno prispeva k večji učinkovitosti, transparentnosti in možnostim nadaljnjega razvoja nevladnih športnih klubov.

Title:Digitalization and process management in a skating club
Abstract:In this masters thesis, the focus on the digitalization and optimization of processes in a non-governmental sports association—a skating club. The main objective was the development of an information solution to enable more efficient membership management, digital attendance tracking at training sessions, and automated invoice issuance. The introduction highlights the challenges posed by time-consuming and non-transparent manual procedures, emphasizing the significance of digitalization for modern and transparent operations in sports organizations. For the development of the solution, I applied the agile SCRUM methodology, which made it possible to continually consider user requirements and implement necessary adjustments throughout the development process. In analyzing the current state, preparing process models, and designing the solution, I worked closely with the club’s management, conducted testing, and organized as well as delivered user training. This ensured a comprehensive development of the system—from identifying needs to integrating the solution into everyday activities. The result of the thesis is a successfully implemented desktop application that centralizes member data, enables quick and prompt attendance recording, and partially automates invoicing based on the valid price list and actual participation in training sessions. After solution deployment, processes became more transparent and less dependent on manual data entry, errors were significantly reduced, the use of paper forms and Excel spreadsheets was discontinued, and the administrative burden on staff decreased. The conclusions and recommendations of the thesis confirm that digitalization significantly contributes to greater efficiency, transparency, and opportunities for further development of non-governmental sports clubs. The implemented solution represents a good practice example that can also serve as a model for other similar organizations that wish to improve their operations with the help of digital tools.
