Abstract:V svojem diplomskem delu spoznavam in se ukvarjam z organom, katerega pomen je zagotavljanje pravičnosti in varnosti delavcev. To so Zakon o delovnih razmerjih, Zakon o varnosti in zdravju pri delu, Zakon o socialnem varstvu in Zakon o inšpekcijskem nadzoru.

Title:The role of the labour inspectorate in the digital age
Abstract:In my thesis, I am learning about and working with an organthat dedicated to ensuring fairness and safety for workers. Today, workplaces are the scene of daily violations, exploitation and other practices contrary to the law. In my work, I examine in more detail the work and tasks and areas of the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia. I briefly describe the legal basis and the main laws under which inspection is carried out. These are the Labour Relations Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Social Welfare Act and the Inspection Act. I have placed all of this in the modern age - the digital age. In the first chapter, I also define the digital age, briefly summarise its history and describe the challenges faced by employees in the digital age. In the applied part of the thesis, I analysed the latest published report of the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia from 2024, focusing on the proposals for new legislation, HR issues and inspection in each of the areas of activity. I also conducted an interview with one of the Inspectorate's employees to discuss the impact of the digital age on their work. I also analysed this to answer the research questions on how the Inspectorate has adapted to the digital age, what challenges the Inspectorate faces and which of its areas of activity has seen the highest number of infringements.
