Raziskave so bile pridobljene iz podatkovnih baz PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, Web of Science in SAGE. Pregled literature smo predstavili s pomočjo PRISMA diagrama.

Title:Stigmatisation of alcoholism in women
Abstract:Introduction: Excessive alcohol consumption is a serious social and health problem that increases the risk of various diseases, mental disorders, and addiction, with societal perceptions of drinking often differing by gender. Women suffering from alcohol addiction are often judged more harshly and fear stigmatization, which complicates their search for help and affects their recovery process. The purpose of this final paper is to analyse the problem of stigmatization of women addicted to alcohol based on a review of the literature. Methods: We utilized a descriptive or narrative methodology in our writing. The research was sourced from databases including PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, Web of Science in SAGE. The literature search was presented using a PRISMA diagram. Results: Of the 803 results, seven studies were included in the final analysis. All these studies showed that women experiencing alcoholism are often subject to stigma and social judgement. Stigma complicates the recovery and treatment process of women with alcohol use disorders and affects their daily lives. Discussion and conclusion: Stigmatisation of women addicted to alcohol is a barrier to help-seeking, treatment and recovery. By raising awareness of the issue and tackling negative stereotypes, we can create a more supportive environment that enables women to talk about their problems and seek appropriate help.
