Title:Dark bases as the foundation for fine art activities in the preschool period
Abstract:The thesis titled "Dark Bases as the foundation for fine art activities in the preschool period" aims to expand the diversity of art education practices by incorporating dark bases into the practical work of preschool children. This can be achieved by planning and implementing six different art education activities for a group of children aged 4 to 6 years. Activities in question include the use of various themes, motifs, techniques, forms and methods of work. The activities are then analysed using psychological, pedagogical-didactic, material, and content analysis. Additionally, the analysis of the works of three children in each activity was carried out according to developmental, creative and material-technical criteria. The research has shown that using dark bases for art activities has a positive effect on children's artistic creation, primarily due to the added motivation and the fresh approach to art education. In this thesis, we used descriptive and non-experimental pedagogical research methods as well as qualitative methodology. Data were collected in Oton Župančič Preschool, Slovenska Bistrica with a non-random sample of 20 children aged 4 to 6 years.
