Poleg tega smo izpostavili pomen ozaveščanja staršev o potencialnih nevarnostih in posledicah »sharentinga«. V empiričnem delu smo raziskali pogostost deljenja fotografij in videoposnetkov predšolskih otrok na družbenih omrežjih glede na sociodemografske razlike staršev in stopnjo zavedanja s posledicami deljenja fotografij in videoposnetkov predšolskih otrok na družbenih omrežjih. Podatke smo zbrali z anketnim vprašalnikom in jih obdelali s pomočjo programa SPSS.

Title:Sociological dimensions of sharenting: sharing photographs and videos of preschool children on social media
Abstract:The thesis examines the contemporary social phenomenon of sharenting, which pertains to the practice by parents, relatives, or friends of sharing photographs, videos, and other information about children on social media platforms. The term »Sharenting« carries significant implications, both positive and negative, with the potential to compromise the safety of the child. The theoretical chapter of this thesis draws on relevant scholarly literature to define social media and its impact on children, elucidate the concept of digital parenting, and delineate the advantages and disadvantages of sharenting. Furthermore, this section underscores the critical need to raise parental awareness regarding the potential risks and consequences associated with this practise. The empirical component of the study explores the frequency with which parents share photographs and videos of preschool-aged children on social media, with a focus on sociodemographic variations among parents and their level of awareness concerning the repercussions of such sharing. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire and subsequently analyzed using SPSS software. Contrary to initial expectations, the findings indicate that parents infrequently post photographs and videos of their children on social media. Additionally, the study reveals minor differences in sharing behaviors based on certain sociodemographic characteristics of the parents. The research underscores the necessity for further investigation and the development of guidelines to ensure the safe dissemination of children's information online.
