Abstract:Dobri medsebojni odnosi na delovnem so ključnega pomena za posameznikovo delovno uspešnost, doseganje organizacijskih ciljev in poslovanje organizacije, zaradi česar bi moralo biti zagotavljanje spodbudnega in varnega okolja za zaposlene primarni cilj vsake organizacije.

Title:Frustration as a source of aggressive behaviour at the workplace among employees of the Ministry of the interior
Abstract:Good interpersonal relations at a workplace are crucial for individual performance, the achievement of organisational goals, and the performance of the organisation, which is why providing a supportive and safe environment for employees should be a primary goal of every organisation. Good interpersonal relations also have a positive impact on mitigating the frustrators that individuals encounter during their work tasks. Otherwise, there is a greater risk of escalating frustration and conflict, which may be reflected in the occurrence of workplace aggression. Such behaviour has significant negative consequences for both the organisation and the individuals. A quantitative survey among employees of the Ministry of the Interior confirmed the presence of aggressive behaviour in the workplace at a rate of 47 %. The most frequent aggressors are superiors and groups of individuals, who unite to engage in deviant behaviour. A closer look at the data shows that respondents are more likely to be exposed to covert forms of aggression, as these are harder to detect or are rarely recognised by individuals as deviant behaviours. Neither do respondents report any presence of physical violence at their workplace. The results show that certain social and organisational factors influence the respondents' feelings of frustration, which are to a lesser extent reflected in the employees' aggressive behaviours. The study confirms the frustration aggression theory in the studied environment, which attributes the causes of individuals' aggression to feelings of frustration at the workplace.
