Title:District heating of houses with geothermal energy
Abstract:Renewable energy sources are of key importance for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which means that they can be used sustainably. In the future, the development of technology will enable better use of natural resources and their increasing use is expected. This also increases the energy security of countries. In the thesis we described the characteristics of using geothermal energy, heat pumps and district heating systems. Slovenia has great potential for the use of geothermal energy due to its geological features. Analyzes have shown that the most favorable conditions for the exploitation of geothermal energy are in the area of northeastern Slovenia, where are thermal and thermomineral springs and wells. In the thesis we also presented the consumption of geothermal energy and the district heating system in the world and in Slovenia. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate an efficient heating system using geothermal energy and high-temperature heat pump, which according to the economic analysis, enables large annual savings.
Keywords:geothermal energy, district heating, heat pump, heating power, economic analysis
