Abstract:The 7th International Conference on Technologies & Business Models for Circular Economy (TBMCE) was organized by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Maribor in collaboration with the Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership - Networks for the Transition into Circular Economy (SRIP- Circular Economy), managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska. The conference was held in Portorož, Slovenia, at the Grand Hotel Bernardin from September 4th to September 6th, 2024. EIT RawMaterials RIS Hub Adria, SPIRIT Slovenia Business Development Agency and Pomurje Technology Park (as part of the GREENE 4.0 and CI-Hub projects) have joined us as co-organizers. TBMCE 2024 was devoted to presentations of circular economy concepts, technologies and methodologies that contribute to the shift of business entities and society as a whole to a more responsible, circular management of resources. The conference program included panel discussions, plenary and keynote sessions, oral and poster presentations on the following topics: Sustainable Energy, Biomass and Alternative Raw Materials, Circular Business Models, Secondary Raw Materials and Functional Materials, ICT in Circular Economy, Processes and Technologies. Panel discussions addressed following topics: Circular Economy Transition in South East Europe, The transition to carbon neutrality in energy intensive industry, Valorization of used and contaminated wood, Circular economy trends in construction, Critical raw materials and circular economy transition, Industrial Symbiosis and its opportunities for industry, AI and circular economy. The event was under the patronage of Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport and Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development.

Title:7. mednarodna konferenca o tehnologijah in poslovnih modelih za krožno gospodarstvo : zbornik povzetkov.
Abstract:Fakulteta za kemijo in kemijsko tehnologijo Univerze v Mariboru je v sodelovanju s Strateško razvojno-inovacijskim partnerstvom – Mreže za prehod v krožno gospodarstvo (SRIP – Krožno gospodarstvo), s katerim upravlja Štajerska gospodarska zbornica, organizirala 7. mednarodno znanstvenoraziskovalno, strokovno in razvojno konferenco Tehnologije in poslovni modeli za krožno gospodarstvo (Technologies & Business Models for Circular Economy; TBMCE), ki je potekala od 4. do 6. septembra 2024 v Grand hotelu Bernardin v Portorožu. Kot soorganizatorji so se nam pridružili EIT RawMaterials RIS središča Adria in SPIRIT Slovenija ter Pomurski tehnološki park v sklopu projektov GREENE 4.0 in CI-Hub. TBMCE 2024 je namenjena predstavitvi konceptov krožnega gospodarstva in tehnologij ter metodologij, ki prispevajo k preusmeritvi gospodarskih subjektov in družbe kot celote k bolj odgovornemu, tj. krožnemu ravnanju z viri. Konferenčni program je vključeval panelne diskusije, plenarno in uvodna predavanja, ustna predavanja in predstavitve v obliki posterjev z naslednjih področij: trajnostna energija, biomasa in alternativne surovine, krožni poslovni modeli, sekundarne surovine in funkcionalni materiali, IKT v krožnem gospodarstvu, procesi in tehnologije. Razprave v panelnih diskusijah so naslavljale aktualne teme: prehod v krožno gospodarstvo v Jugovzhodni Evropi, prehod energetsko intenzivne industrije v ogljično nevtralnost, valorizacija odsluženega in onesnaženega lesa, trendi krožnega gospodarstva v gradbeništvu, kritične surovine in prehod v krožno gospodarstvo, industrijska simbioza in njene priložnosti za industrijo, umetna inteligenca in krožno gospodarstvo. Dogodek je potekal pod pokroviteljstvom Ministrstva za gospodarstvo, turizem in šport in Ministrstva za kohezijo in regionalni razvoj.
