Abstract:Diplomsko delo je rezultat podrobne analize trga dela za tri poljubno izbrane države, v našem primeru Slovenijo, Romunijo in ZDA.

Title:Labour market analysis in Slovenia, Romania and the USA
Abstract:This thesis is the result of a detailed analysis of the labour market for three countires of our choice: Slovenia, Romania and the USA. The thesis examines issues related to the labour market, from unemployment to the problem of insufficient quantities of this factor of production. The theoretical part is presented first, where we have looked at the reasons behind the different labour market situations and also analysed different possibilities or »tools« that countires can use to deal with the negative consequences of either unemployment or labour shortages. We have also conducted a detailed analysis of each country individually, where we have found out that they significantly differ from one another in some characteristics. Our final section before the conclusion presents the results o fan econometric analysis, where we attempted to determine which variables most influence unemplyoment in a given economy. A least squares regression equation was constructed using explanatory variables such as population growth, net foreign investment, GDP growth, inflation and government expenditure. We have found that countries differ somewhat in their employment structures, reflecting different historical circumstances and social systems. However, they share certain labour market challenges, which will be compounded by new and additional challenges in the future, and active responses to these will be crucial.
