Title:Učinkovitost osnovnošolskega geografskega izobraževanja pri blaženju podnebnih sprememb in prilagajanju nanje : študija primera

Abstract:Namen magistrskega dela je ugotoviti, kako izbrana skupina osnovnošolcev (študija primera) pozna podnebne spremembe, kako se nanje odziva na nivoju svojih vrednot in konkretnega delovanja ter kakšen vpliv ima na to geografsko izobraževanje. V teoretičnem delu smo s pomočjo analize izbranih strokovnih virov in literature opredelili vzroke za podnebne spremembe in njihove posledice ter pojasnili, kako jih lahko blažimo in se nanje prilagajamo. Zanimal nas je tudi pomen izobraževanja o podnebnih spremembah. Z vidika vključenosti navedenih vsebin v pouk geografije smo analizirali učni načrt za geografijo v osnovni šoli in izbrane učbenike. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli študijo primera, kjer smo preverili obstoječe stanje znanja, vrednot in ravnanja, povezanega s problematiko podnebnih sprememb. Zatem smo realizirali pedagoški eksperiment, v katerem smo glede na analizo rezultatov prvega anketiranja oblikovali učno pripravo ter učni proces izvedli z izbrano skupino učencev. Ponovno smo preverili iste kazalnike stanja. Identificirali smo, kako izbrane metode, oblike in vsebine izobraževanja, izvedenega v primeru pedagoškega eksperimenta, vplivajo na znanje, vrednote in ravnanje učencev. Glede na ugotovljeno zaključujemo, da je ciljno pripravljeno osnovnošolsko geografsko izobraževanje o podnebnih spremembah izrednega pomena ter učinkovito vpliva na znanje in vrednote učencev glede podnebnih sprememb, hkrati pa veča zavedanje o pomenu delovanja v smeri blaženja podnebnih sprememb in prilagajanja nanje.

Title:The effectiveness of geography education in primary school and its impact on climate change mitigation and adjustments - the case study
Abstract:The purpose of the Master's thesis is to find out how the chosen group of primary school students (case study) knows the climate change, what is their feedback to it regarding their personal values in their action as well as the impact of Geography learning. At the theoretical part we defined the causes for the climate change with the help of the chosen literature analysis, we also defined the consequences and how to adapt to or ease them. We were also interested in the meaning of climate change education. Regarding the integration to Geography lessons we have analysed the Geography curriculum of primary school education in the chosen textbooks. At the empirical part we have performed the case study to check the current knowledge, values, behaviour towards the climate change issue. Based on the analysis of the first survey findings, we continued by carrying out the pedagogical experiment, where we formed the lesson plan and performed the lessons with the chosen group of students. Again, we have checked the same status indicators. We have identified how the chosen methods, approaches and content of the education, performed during the pedagogical experiment, affect the knowledge, values and behaviour of the students. Based on the findings we can conclude that the primary school Geography education, the preparation of it and its purpose regarding the climate change, show the utmost importance and efficient impact on the knowledge of climate change and values of the students. They also consolidate the knowledge about the behaviour towards climate change mitigation as well as adjustments to it.
