Title:Analiza in modeliranje adsorpcijske naprave z nihanjem tlaka za čiščenje vodika v sistemih elektrolize vode : diplomsko delo

Abstract:V sistemih za proizvodnjo vodika z elektrolizo vode je potrebno zagotoviti neprekinjeno delovanje procesa adsorpcije za eliminacije vodne pare. To zagotovimo z uporabo ločevalnega postopka adsorpcije z nihanjem tlaka (PSA). PSA je ciklični postopek z vsaj dvema adsorpcijskima enotama, ki vsebujeta trden adsorbent. V nalogi so prikazane ravnotežne karakteristike adsorbentov za adsorpcijo vodne pare, karakteristike sproščanja adsorpcijske toplote, brezdimenzijski model PSA v simulacijskem orodju AVL CRUISETM M in rezultati numeričnih simulacij. Med preučevanimi materiali so se tipi silikagela izkazali za primerno izbiro, medtem ko zeoliti kažejo slabše rezultate za primer uporabe PSA v sistemih za elektrolizo vode. Model predvideva delovanje PSA z izkoristki nad 90 % in stopnjo čistosti vodika nad 99,99 %.

Title:Analysis and modeling of pressure swing adsorber for hydrogen purification in water electrolysis systems
Abstract:In systems for hydrogen production via water electrolysis, it is necessary to ensure the continuous operation of the adsorption process to eliminate water vapor. This is achieved using the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) separation process. PSA is a cyclic process with at least two adsorption units containing a solid adsorbent. This thesis presents the equilibrium characteristics of adsorbents for water vapor adsorption, the characteristics of adsorption heat release, a dimensionless model of PSA in the simulation tool AVL CRUISETM M, and the results of numerical simulations. Among the materials studied, types of silica gel proved to be a suitable choice, while zeolites showed poorer results for PSA use in water electrolysis systems. The model predicts the operation of the PSA with recovery rate above 90% and a hydrogen purity level above 99.99%.
