V raziskavi so sodelovali učenci 4. razreda izbrane matične in podružnične osnovne šole.

Title:Comparison of manufacture of wooden products in natural sciences and technology class in central and branch schools
Abstract:In the master's thesis titled "A Comparative Study of Woodworking Projects in Natural Science and Technology Classes at Central and Branch Schools," the theoretical section provides an in depth description of the Natural Science and Technology curriculum, the distinctions between central and branch schools, and the practical aspects of project creation. This includes a focus on creativity, safe work practices, tools and equipment used in these classes, and the working environment. Additionally, the chosen material – wood, and its processing techniques encountered by students in the Natural Science and Technology subject are presented in detail. The empirical section employs descriptive analysis to examine and compare the teaching methods at both central and branch schools. The study involved fourth-grade students from selected central and branch primary schools. The research findings, presented graphically and descriptively, indicate that the availability of tools, materials, and equipment does not significantly affect the quality of the students' projects. While students at the central school had better working conditions, they faced greater difficulties in the crafting process, particularly in handling tools and achieving precision. In contrast, students at the branch school produced high-quality projects, despite lacking certain tools and materials. Regardless of these challenges, students at both schools demonstrated significant creativity.
