Abstract:Skladišča so namenjena shranjevanju, upravljanju in distribuciji blaga. Komisioniranje je najdražji proces v skladišču, saj predstavlja 55 % operativnih stroškov. Z izbiro ustrezne komisionirne strategije in optimalno postavitvijo regalnega skladišča lahko skrajšamo komisionirne poti in izboljšamo pretok blaga, kar vodi do znižanja operativnih stroškov. V magistrskem delu smo preučili vpliv razmerja dimenzij v tradicionalni postavitvi skladišča na dolžino opravljene komisionirne poti. S pomočjo algoritma avtorjev Ratliff in Rosenthal smo izračunali povprečno dolžino komisionirne poti v treh različnih velikostih in oblikah tradicionalnega regalnega skladišča. Poleg tega smo s simulacijo v spletnem orodju analizirali vpliv različnih komisionirnih strategij v tradicionalno postavljenem regalnem skladišču izbranega podjetja.

Title:The impact of an optimization algorithm on the layout of a storage rack warehouse
Abstract:Warehouses are used for the storage, management and distribution of goods. Commissioning is the most expensive process in a warehouse, accounting for 55% of operating costs. By choosing the right picking strategy and optimising the layout of the rack warehouse, picking routes can be shortened and the flow of goods can be improved, leading to a reduction in operating costs. In the master thesis, the influence of the dimension ratio in a traditional warehouse layout on the length of the picking path was investigated. Using the Ratliff and Rosenthal algorithm, we calculated the average length of the picking path in three different sizes and shapes of a traditional rack warehouse. In addition, we analysed the impact of different picking strategies in a traditionally set-up rack warehouse of the selected company by means of a simulation in a web-based tool. The aim of the study was to demonstrate that the Ratliff and Rosenthal optimisation algorithm is practically applicable and is preferable to the remaining picking strategies. We found that the Ratliff and Rosenthal algorithm can reduce the picking path by up to 27 % on average.
