Izmed njih sta najpogostejša prstni odtis in prepoznava obraza.

Title:Use of biometrics on smartphones among students
Abstract:The word or term biometrics itself comes from the ancient Greek word BIOS (meaning life) and METRIC (meaning measurement). On this basis, it can be said that biometrics is, in a manner of speaking, a science that deals with the identification of people and their physical, physiological as well as behavioural characteristics. Thus, with biometrics, it is possible to identify an individual on the basis of a fingerprint, a papillary line scan, a finger, the iris, the retina, the face, the ear, DNA, and the way they hold themselves. Biometrics is a technology used to verify the identity of individuals based on their physical characteristics. It uses a more advanced security mechanism based on the recognition of a person's individual characteristics, as compared to older models of security mechanism which used PINs and passwords. In the thesis, a survey on the use of biometrics on smartphones among students was carried out in which 124 students were surveyed. From the analysis of this we can conclude that most of the students are using biometrics on their smartphones, they are aware of how to protect themselves from various attacks on their biometrics and most of the respondents have confidence in the security of biometric features and its performance. However, it can be observed that around 40-50% of the students surveyed disagree with the implementation of biometric features in other aspects of student life and its use in faculties. However, we also see that most students are familiar with two types of biometrics on smartphones, and of these two, fingerprint and facial recognition were the most common answers.
