Title:Green logistics in the supply chain: the case of taris
Abstract:Logistics is a sector in the economy that has a direct impact on people's lives, and on nature and all living beings. Due to the large size and frequency of supply chain facilities, logistics is affecting the environment through direct pollution and the depletion of its energy resources, some of which are non-renewable. Green logistics and the green supply chain represent the only solution for eliminating the huge quantities of emissions that are currently present in our environment. Searching for substitutes for non-renewable resources is truly challenging for companies today, as green logistics requires investments and other changes, which companies are clearly not yet willing to make. Companies influencing and encouraging one another to implement green logistics is the key to making a genuine impact. Logistics companies can work together to receive bonuses when directly introducing green practice into their activity or service. Sustainable mobility is the future of logistics, as the current state of the environment cannot handle anything less than that. In the theoretical section, we focused on presenting the basic concepts of logistics, green logistics, and emissions, while also presenting the importance and role of the supply chain. The practical section mostly deals with the search for solutions, highlighting the existing substitutes for non-renewable energy resources, and discussing the operation, position, and role of the company Tarsi d.o.o. in the supply chain.
