Title:Eight - week programme for development of strength in core stabilisers and lower limbs using body weight and small accessories
Abstract:In the paper, I explained why exercise is so important nowadays, listing the advantages of body weight training. I also presented exercises for core stabilisers and lower limbs, trying to identify a harder and easier version of the exercises and add small accessories. The paper was based on literature gathered and experience obtained in school and during practical training. The aim of the paper was to better study personal training based on body-weight exercises and exercises with small accessories and present the results of the eight-week programme to the larger public. The research included eight people, both recreational and beginner athletes. In order to obtain results, we performed four different tests: plank, static squats, sit-ups/minute and repeated nordic curls. The results show that, all participants achieved progress in all four measurements. The progress they achieved in all exercises was greater in the second section of the plan, except for the recreational group, which achieved on average more progress in the static squat in the first four weeks. We determined that the beginner group achieved greater progress in static exercises, while the recreational group achieved greater progress in dynamic exercises. This paper is an example of a professionally designed training for the development of strength in core stabilisers and lower limbs.
