Title:The influence of modern technology on the daily routine of a preschool child
Abstract:The thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part were explained the positive and negative effects of modern technology (MT) on a child's holistic development. We also described the recommendations for the use of MT with preschool children, the use of information and communication technology in kindergartens and the role of parents in the child's entry into the digital world. The empirical part is based on the purpose of the thesis. 110 parents of preschool children aged 1 to 5 participated in the research. The survey questionnaire was divided into two parts. In the first part, we were interested in the frequency of MT use during the daily routine among preschool children. In the second part, we wanted to investigate the frequency of use of MT among parents in the presence of children. With the help of Kullbach's 2Ȋ test, we investigated the relationship between parents' education and the frequency of MT use with preschool children and the relationship between children's age and frequency of MT use. When analyzing the collected questionnaires, we found that the use of MT is quite widespread among preschool children during the daily routine. Most often, children use MT during joint meals, before bedtime, as a way of calming down, or it is only present in the background during their play.
