Koristi čuječnosti, ki smo jih identificirali, so manj stresa, obvladovanje čustev, optimizem, boljše fizično počutje in v splošnem višja kakovost življenja. Tehnike čuječnosti izboljšajo psiho-socialno in fizično zdravje mater.

Title:Mindfulness amongst mothers of children diagnosed with cerebral palsy
Abstract:Introduction: Cerebral palsy is a complex health condition affecting movement and motor functions. Mothers of children with cerebral palsy face various challenges, including psychological stress, social stigma, and a sense of guilt about their child's condition. The purpose of this thesis is to explore whether mindfulness techniques can contribute to the well-being of mothers of children with cerebral palsy. Methods: A review of scientific literature was conducted, including English articles published in the last 10 years from international databases such as PubMed, SAGE Journals, and within Research Gate network. The process of article selection and review followed PRISMA guidelines, utilizing a descriptive method of work and performing content analysis. Results: We identified 114 relevant studies but included only 4. The results indicate that mothers of children with cerebral palsy experience stress, anxiety, poorer overall health, and feelings of guilt. The benefits of mindfulness were reduced stress, better emotional regulation, optimism, better physical well-being, and overall improved quality of life. Discussion and Conclusion: We found that interventions and techniques based on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, mindful parenting programs, and mindfulness meditation successfully enhance mindfulness in these mothers. Consequently, they report improved health, reduced stress, increased calmness, and enhanced self-confidence. Mindfulness techniques contribute to the improvement of mothers psychosocial and physical health.
