Abstract:Varnost v cestnem prometu predstavlja eno od ključnih vidikov kakovosti prometnega sistema, saj vsak udeleženec želi zagotoviti varno potovanje v skladu s svojimi potrebami.

Title:Renovation of the existing school route plan of the Pohorskega odreda Slovenska Bistrica primary school in terms of traffic safety and digitalisation
Abstract:Road traffic safety represents one of the key aspects of the quality of the transportation system, as every participant aims to ensure safe travel in accordance with their own needs. The responsibility for road traffic safety lies not only on the individuals but also with the state, local communities, and institutions such as elementary schools. Elementary schools have insight and control over traffic events, with the ability to influence road safety. In the Republic of Slovenia, elementary schools are required to create a Safe School Route Plan, informing users about safe routes for arrival and departure from school. The thesis deals with the issues of the existing Safe School Route Plan of the Pohorskega odreda Elementary School in Slovenska Bistrica. Based on specific criteria, a classification of street suitability is presented, along with a proposal for improvements to the current situation in the form of a revised Safe School Route Plan. The renovation involves the digitization of maps, enabling an interactive presentation of dangerous streets and locations. This allows the school to provide users with essential information about traffic hazards, thereby reducing the risk for children traveling to and from school.
