Abstract:Mladi se danes soočajo s številnimi izzivi v zvezi z izobraževanjem in zaposlovanjem.

Title:Analysis of young people's views on the impact of education on employment
Abstract:Young people today face many challenges in education and employment. They face precarious work and insecure jobs, which affect their economic security and long-term planning. There is also a mismatch between education programmes and labour market needs, leading to a surplus of highly educated individuals in some sectors and a shortage of skilled workers in others. Young people often wonder whether their education is really the key to a job and whether they will be able to fulfil their career ambitions. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we defined the concepts of youth, education and employment and linked them to each other. The empirical part was carried out through an online survey, and we also used data obtained from the database of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia and on Eurostat. The research questions we asked led us to the conclusion that educational attainment has an impact on labour force participation. Our respondents consider education to be an important factor in finding a suitable job for them, as well as helping them to develop critical thinking skills and guiding them in the future. To improve their situation, it would be advisable to adapt education programmes to the needs of the labour market, promote practical experience while studying, facilitate access to support for self-employment, provide active job-search support, promote lifelong learning and adapt social security systems. These measures could improve the employability and economic stability of the younger generation and help young people make the transition from education to work.
