Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo želeli preučiti področje poučevanja v kombiniranem in enorazrednem oddelku v povezavi z duševnim in telesnim zdravjem učiteljev.

Title:The mental and physical health of general primary school teachers in single-class and combined departments
Abstract:The master's thesis aimed to study teaching in combined and single-class departments in connection with the mental and physical health of teachers. Within the theoretical part, we focused on researching the already existing literature regarding the physical and mental health of teachers in combined and single-class departments. In the empirical part, we tested and analyzed the matter by using questionnaires, and supported the findings with literature. The research included 159 teachers from both types of departments. We have found that 73% of the teachers described their work as stressful. With our thesis, we wanted to explore the workplace satisfaction of teachers who teach in combined or single-class departments. The results showed that teachers in combined departments are less satisfied with their work than teachers in single-class departments. The teachers included in the research predominantly reported agreement with statements about having difficulty calming down at work, overreacting to certain situations, being irritated and finding it difficult to relax, as well as being quite sensitive, among other things. Nevertheless, there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups of teachers in the level of displaying poorer mental health symptoms. The thesis also focused on the symptoms of stress, and found that teachers in both departments experience all the listed symptoms to the same extent.
