Title:Fashion activism for sustainable future
Abstract:Recent research shows that the textile industry has become the second largest polluter after the oil industry. The problems that have arisen in the last hundred years are reflected ecologically and ethically in the exploitation of labour. To mitigate the consequences at least a little, we can strike a healthy balance between production and consumption by buying sustainable clothing responsibly and using products prudently. Raising awareness about fast fashion and offering sustainable products are first important steps on the path to change.
Keywords:textile industry, responsible users, activism, sustainable development
