V kvalitativni pilotni študiji (N = 4) smo uporabili metodo utemeljene teorije. Na podlagi analize polstrukturiranih intervjujev smo izdelali konceptualni model razumevanja dinamike in vplivov eksplicitne spolne spletne vsebine na mladostnike. V osrednji kvantitativni študiji (N = 150) smo poleg demografskih vprašanj uporabili vprašalnike DASS-21, UCLA, WHO-5, CD-RISC-10, PPCS-6 in SRBS. Pogostost uporabe eksplicitne spolne spletne vsebine je pozitivno povezana z depresivnostjo, s problematično rabo eksplicitne spolne spletne vsebine, tveganim spolnim vedenjem, kajenjem in z alkoholom.

Title:Sexually explicit internet content and adolescents: mental health indicators and risk behaviors : magistrsko delo
Abstract:The goal of the master's thesis was to conduct a pilot qualitative study and a central quantitative study and to determine whether there is a connection between the use of explicit sexual online material and mental health and risky behaviors. We used the grounded theory method in a qualitative pilot study (N=4). Based on the analysis of semi-structured interviews, we created a conceptual model for understanding the dynamics and effects of explicit sexual online content on adolescents. In the central quantitative study (N=150), in addition to demographic questions, we used the DASS-21, UCLA, WHO-5, CD-RISC-10, PPCS-6 and SRBS questionnaires. The results showed that compared to adolescent girls, male adolescents use explicit sexual online content more often, and use more such content on a daily basis. The frequency of use of explicit sexual online content is positively related to depression, problematic use of explicit sexual online content, risky sexual behaviour, smoking and alcohol. We also found that earlier exposure to explicit sexual online content predicts frequency of use of explicit sexual online content and problematic use of explicit sexual online content; while alcohol use and risky sexual behaviour predict problematic use of explicit sexual online content. In light of these findings, which highlight the need for greater awareness, education and interventions, adolescents should be helped to develop healthy attitudes towards sexuality and critical thinking about sexually explicit online content.
