Title:Funkcionalizacija tekstilij z uporabo biopolimerov iz odpadnih mas : diplomsko delo

Abstract:Diplomsko delo je usmerjeno v dokazovanje multifunkcionalnosti tekstilij, na katere so bile nanešene 4 apretirne raztopine, ekstrahirane iz odpadne biomase perutninskega perja in volne (ki vsebujeta biopolimer keratin) s pomočjo zelene hidrotermalne razgradnje. Polovica vzorcev je bila dodatno dializirana skozi dializno membrano. Najprej so bili določeni kemijski parametri in lastnosti ekstrahiranih raztopin (dializirana in nedializirana raztopina iz perja, dializirana in nedializirana raztopina iz volne), s poudarkom na sledenju biopolimeru keratinu. Po nanosu raztopin na poliestrsko tekstilijo, kot referenčno tekstilijo, je bila dokazana prisotnost teh raztopin na površini tkanine. Prav tako so bile analizirane nove multifunkcionalne lastnosti tekstilij. Najopaznejši doprinos k lastnostim se kaže v izjemnem antioksidativnem delovanju, ognjevarnosti, UV zaščiti in hidrofilnosti novih multifunkcionalnih tekstilij.

Title:Functionalization of textiles using biopolymers from waste
Abstract:The diploma thesis is focused on demonstrating the multifunctionality of textiles treated with four finishing solutions extracted from waste biomass of poultry feathers and wool (containing the biopolymer keratin) using green hydrothermal degradation, with half of the samples further dialyzed through a dialysis membrane. First, the chemical parameters and properties of the extracted solutions (dialyzed and non-dialyzed solutions from feathers, dialyzed and non-dialyzed solutions from wool) were determined, with a focus on tracking the biopolymer keratin. After applying the solutions to polyester textiles as reference materials, the presence of these solutions on the fabric's surface was confirmed, and new multifunctional properties of the textiles were analyzed. The most notable contributions to the properties are observed in exceptional antioxidant activity, flame resistance, UV protection, and hydrophilicity of the new multifunctional textiles.
