Title:User behaviour based on website element changes
Abstract:The development of our society and the fact that more and more people decide to purchase products and services online, it is important that the website content is well equipped with carefully selected, designed and responsive web elements. The terms user interface and user experience are closely related, but there are certain differences between each. The user interface (UI) covers the interactive side of the website, where the user uses keyboard, mouse, etc., to navigate throughout the website interface and get to the desired information of the website, while the user experience (UE) refers to the overall experience that a visitor has when interacting with given website. It encompasses all aspects of a user's interaction, including their perceptions, emotions, preferences and thoughts before, during and after using the website. In the master's thesis, we want to investigate the area of consumer behavior in relation to the changes of website elements. We are interested in how users behave in relation to subtle website element changes and to what extent we can notice the difference. The aim is to find out with the help of which factors the website gets the most clicks on the offer and how important mobile responsiveness is nowadays. We want to find out how sensitive consumers are to changes and the ease of the user experience. In the modern digital age, our research revealed the tremendous importance of responsive website design. Even the smallest subtle changes of website elements can have a significant impact on user behavior and can have a significant impact on business revenue. The research unequivocally highlighted the necessity of responsive web design in the digital age. Failing to optimize a mobile website suppresses the competitiveness of businesses. Here we can especially emphasize the importance of A/B testing subtle website element changes, despite the fact that at first glance the changes may not seem significant. The research shows that a strategically placed call-to-action button above the fold brings significant positive changes to business. Responsive design is no longer an option, but a strategic foundation for digital success.
