V soboto, 1. 4. 2023, so obiskovalci z vozili, vključno s tehničnim osebjem v treh urah pridelali 58,32 t emisij.

Title:Environmental impacts of motorised transport during the sustainable event: the case of FIS ski jumping world cup finals Planica 2023
Abstract:Sustainable sporting events are part of social and economic sustainability, which have an impact on reducing emissions in the environment. Unsustainable forms of mobility, such as fossil fuel vehicles, contribute to nature pollution. Planica is famous for ski flights, and hosting a sustainable sporting event has several positive effects on mobility and the environment. The Planica Organising Committee encourages participants to use alternative modes of transport, such as public transport, walking or ride-sharing. By doing so, they are trying to reduce the number of cars on the road, traffic congestion and emissions. On Saturday, 01/04/2023, visitors with vehicles, including technical staff, harvested 58.32 t of emissions in three hours. In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the valley located right next to the Triglav National Park, we have prepared four variants of traffic arrangements that could contribute to a cleaner environment. With the help of software tools Vissim and Enviver, we created a traffic model and through analysis we conclude that the best current solution for curbing emissions would be variant C with buses, without passenger vehicles. In the long term, however, electric cars and buses are supposed to be 50% electric. By switching from diesel buses to electric buses, we want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Slovenia
