Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava vpliv cestnega tovornega prometa na globalno segrevanje in s tem povezano rast izpustov toplogrednih plinov.

Title:Justification of vehicle fleet electrification at post office Ormož
Abstract:The thesis addresses the impact of road freight transport on global warming and the associated increase in greenhouse gas emissions. In response to this issue, the European Commission has introduced measures to accelerate the transition to more environmentally friendly technologies. At the heart of this research is the electrification of the vehicle fleet as a key strategy to reduce the environmental footprint. Electrification promises to reduce emissions and operational costs for transport companies, but it also presents numerous challenges, such as ensuring charging infrastructure, vehicle lifespan, and battery recycling. The primary aim of the research is to analyze the economic and ecological aspects of fleet electrification, with a focus on Pošta Slovenije and its branch in Ormož. The study will delve into the specific challenges and opportunities that rural areas present in transitioning to electric vehicles. As part of this work, the economic and environmental aspects of electrification will be examined. The result of the research will offer comprehensive guidelines and recommendations for transport companies that are in the process of transitioning to electrify their fleet, especially in the context of rural environments.
Keywords:electric vehicles, electrification of the vehicle fleet, green logistics, the operating costs of electric vehicles, reduction of environmental impact
