Title:Analysis of the role of gender in football
Abstract:Football has always been considered an exclusively male domain, but nowadays women's football represents a rapidly developing sports industry, where it is about much more than just kicking the ball. In the last decade, there has been a noticeable penetration of the female gender into areas that were intended for men. In the thesis, we analyzed the role of gender in football. We compared men's and women's football from several aspects, such as the financial aspect, the social aspect and the media aspect. We wanted to find out if women are really at such a disadvantage when it comes to football and what could be done to reduce the potential differences. For this purpose, we conducted a survey among professional and non-professional soccer players. We found that female soccer players are in a worse position than men in several areas. We have provided suggestions on how to reduce these differences. We believe that investments in women's football are important, as they contribute to the better development of the game itself and the players. We also mention the importance of better media attention for women's football, a greater number of women's football clubs, more professional work of coaches and officials, etc.
Keywords:football, gender, financial aspect, differences, social aspect, media aspect.
