Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo obravnavali preobremenjenost z novicami, deljenimi na družbenem mediju Facebook. Preučevali smo koncepte izogibanje novic, percepcijo “novice me bodo našle” in zaupanje v novice.

Title:News overload on social media and its consequences
Abstract:In this master's thesis, we dealt with the overload of news shared on the social media Facebook. We studied the concepts of news avoidance, "news finds me" perception and news trust. 71 participants took part in the research. The research results showed that news cognitive processing overload statistically significantly predicts news avoidance and passive news consumption, but does not predict news trust, for which we found that statistically significantly predicts news avoidance. Since no research has been done on this topic in Slovenian area, ours can significantly contribute to the understanding of news overload and its consequences, which can have a great impact on the ways in which the media share news on social media.
