Abstract:V zaprtem distribucijskem sistemu Talum d. d. je prišlo do ukinitve delovanja elektrolize, kar je privedlo do prenehanja delovanja kompenzacijskih naprav.

Title:Reactive power compensation on a closed distribution system
Abstract:In the closed distribution system of Talum d. d. the operation of electrolysis was stopped, which led to the cessation of operation of the compensating devices. Reactive energy compensation is basically a process by which we adjust the amount of reactive power so that at some point in time, depending on the working power in the network, we reach the required value of cosφ 0.95. Compensation brings us many important advantages, such as higher transmission capacities, improved cosφ , reduction of losses, and voltage regulation. We will describe all the key parameters that are necessary to consider and understand reactive power compensation. We will present several different compensation options and, based on measurements, determine the device for individual compensation in the case of TP11 and the needs of the entire system at the switchboard level with a central compensation system. We will graphically show the operation of the stages, the improvement of cosφ according to the stages of operation and the reactive power difference, and cosφ before and after compensation in both cases of compensation.
