Podrobno so bile preučene različne vrste resocializacijskih programov s pomočjo živali v zaporu.

Title:The use of animals in resocialisation programs for prisoners
Abstract:Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) has become recognised as a promising intervention in a variety of settings, including correctional settings. The thesis examines the use of AAT in prisons, focusing on its benefits and challenges. This thesis aims to explore the effects of AAT on prisoners, focusing on the potential for resocialisation, improved mental health and reduced recidivism rates. Various forms of resocialisation that are implemented in prisons will be presented. This will be followed by a description of the human-animal bond and the history of the use of animals for resocialisation purposes. The different types of animal-assisted resocialisation programmes in prison will be presented. The findings of this study provide insights into the benefits of AAT, including emotional support, improved social skills, reduced aggression and improved resocialisation outcomes. By acknowledging the challenges and exploring strategies for programme implementation and sustainability, correctional facilities can harness the power of animal-assisted therapy to promote positive change in prisoners. Future research should continue to examine the long-term effects of AAT and its role in promoting successful reintegration into society, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being of prisoners and the community to which they return upon release. It can be concluded that animal-assisted therapy has great potential as a therapeutic measure in prisons.
