Title:Igralni objekti: pregled po zvrsteh videoiger ter njihovo proceduralno generiranje : diplomsko delo

Abstract:V teoretičnem delu smo najprej predstavili pojme videoigra, igralni objekti in proceduralno generiranje, ki so med seboj tesno povezani. S proceduralnim generiranjem lahko ustvarjamo igralne objekte ali jih na različne načine spreminjamo, saj skupaj sestavljajo enega izmed pomembnih gradnikov videoigre. Opravili smo pregled posameznih zvrsti videoiger in nato še pregled igralnih objektov po teh zvrsteh. V praktičnem delu smo se osredotočili na igralne objekte, ki smo jih najpogosteje zasledili. Predstavili smo orodji Maya in Unity, ki smo ju uporabljali za izdelovanje 3D modela ter postopkov proceduralnega generiranja. Analizirali smo grafične značilnosti igralnih objektov. Predstavili smo postopek izdelave našega 3D modela, na podlagi katerega smo na koncu naredili nekaj primerov proceduralnega generiranja in jih tudi podrobno opisali.

Title:Game objects: a game genre based review and their procedural generation
Abstract:In the theoretical part the concepts of video games, game objects, and procedural generation, which are all closely interlinked, are introduced. Procedural generation is used to create game objects or modify them in various ways, and together they form one of the important elements of a video game. The thesis provides an overview of individual genres of video games and gaming objects for these genres. The practical part is focused on most frequent game objects. We present Maya and Unity tools, which are used to create a 3D model and implement procedural generation processes. We analyzed the graphic characteristics of gaming objects. Moreover, we presented the process of creating our 3D model, based on which we made some examples of procedural generation, the examples are also described in detail.
