Za iskanje znanstvene literature smo uporabili naslednje tuje podatkovne baze: PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect in dodatno iskalnik Google Učenjak. S pomočjo PRISMA diagrama smo predstavili potek iskanja literature. Sintezo zbranih virov smo naredili s pomočjo uporabe vsebinske analize.

Title:Self-injurious behaviour in adolescents as a consequence of family violence
Abstract:Self-harm behaviour is very common in adolescents, who choose it when they are unable to react to a situation or are in emotional distress. Most often, it is domestic violence that is one of the causes of this behaviour. The aim of this thesis is to explore the relationship between domestic violence and self-harm behaviour in adolescents, based on a review of the literature. In the final part of the thesis, we used the descriptive or descriptive method of work. PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect and additionally Google Scholar were used to search the scientific literature. The PRISMA diagram was used to illustrate the literature search process. Synthesis of the collected sources was done using content analysis. In the final analysis, we included 18 articles that identified domestic violence as one of the causes of self-harm behaviour in adolescents. Adolescents who had witnessed domestic violence, parental separation, poverty, neglect were more likely to engage in self-injurious behaviour. Self-harm behaviour is positively associated with domestic violence in adolescents. Adolescents often express their distress not through words, but through other forms of behaviour (self-injurious behaviour). In the clinical setting, it is the nurse who is most often the first to recognise domestic violence, and therefore needs to have the relevant experience and skills. For the nurse, caring for children is very stressful, as each child experiences violence differently.
