Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Povezanost med telesnimi značilnostmi in kvaliteto izvedbe gibanja predšolskih otrok smo v teoretičnem delu prikazali sestavo človeškega telesa, prehrano, delovanje in vlogo kostnega, mišičnega in maščobnega tkiva, indeks telesne mase in temeljne gibalne spretnosti. Namen dela je bil preučiti povezanost med telesno sestavo in gibalno spretnostjo predšolskih otrok. V empiričnem delu smo uporabili kavzalno-neeksperimentalno metodo raziskovanja.

Title:The relationship between physical characteristics and preschool children's quality of performance
Abstract:In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis with the name The relationship between physical characteristics and preschool children`s quality of performance we described the body composition, function of bones, muscles and adipose tissue, body mass index and basic motor skills such as stability skills, locomotor skills and manipulative skills. The aim of the diploma thesis was to discover the connection of body composition and realization of movement of kindergarten children while the goals were to define the body composition of the sample in regards of their adipose tissue, the amount of water in their body and body mass index, to verify the quality of locomotor and manipulative skills of children in the sample and to find out the connection of adipose tissue and body mass index with the quality of realization of movement in the sample of 24 boys and 15 girls from Maribor kindergartens. With the hypotheses we wanted to check if the amount of adipose tissue has a negative influence on locomotor skills, if body mass index has a negative influence on locomotor skills, if the amount of adipose tissue has a negative influence on manipulative skills and if body mass index has a negative influence on manipulative skills of children. Based on the results of our study, we concluded that there is no connection between any of the variables and therefore we did not confirm the hypotheses. We were surprised by the results as we expected a connection, and similar research also confirmed the connections between the exposed concepts.
