Abstract:Pojava epidemije in pandemije covid-19 sta od zdravstvenih organizacij zahtevala prilagoditev delovnih procesov in organizacijo dela. Podatki so bili analizirani v programu SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences).

Title:Redistribution of nursing staff during the covid-19 epidemic and it's effect on the workplace satisfaction of operating room nurses
Abstract:The emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic and pandemic required healthcare organizations to adapt work processes and work organization. This was followed by changes in the current departments and the consequent reassignment of the nursing staff, which included operating room nurses. The purpose of the master's theses was to present the importance of taking into account the current knowledge of the employee when reassigning medical staff and the impact of redistributing employees with special skills without prior training on the possible appearance of negative emotions and a lower level of workplace satisfaction. In the preparation of the theoretical part, we relied on selected scientific and professional Slovenian, English and Croatian literature. We defined the functioning of healthcare organizations during epidemics and pandemics, redistribution of employees and teamwork, as well as factors that influence satisfaction and dissatisfaction in the workplace. Quantitative methodology was used in the empirical part. We used a survey questionnaire to collect date in the research. Operating room nurses (n = 21) employed at he Surgical Clinic, Central Operating Block in the University Clinical Center and who were reassigned to another workplace during the Covid-19 epidemic or pandemic were included in the research. The research took place from 25 January 2023 to 20 February 2023. The data was analyzed in the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program. Through research, we found that the lack of a sense of competence during redistribuyion among employees has a great impact on the accurrence of stress, the feeling of time pressure when performing nursing activities, and has an impact on the accurrence of ethical dilemmas related to work. The operating room nurses were satisfied with the managment of the leadership (M = 3.76), however, they were of the opinion that the reassignment of employees with special skills, without prior training, is very inadequate (47,5 %) and 33,3 % of them, that it is inappropriate. One of the key factors in the retention of staff is their position at work, so it makes sense to focus not only on the satisfaction of personnel needs, but also on the current workplace specific knowledge of the employees, and thus enable them to make a non-traumatic change to the temporary workplaces.
