Abstract:Jezik in opismenjevanje se razvijata pri majhnih otrocih prek njihovih interakcij. V predšolskem obdobju so grafomotorične dejavnosti zelo pomembne, saj otroci z njimi razvijajo svoje spretnosti, pomembne za razvoj pisanja in grafomotorike.

Title:The influence of the writing tool on the graphomotor skills in children aged 3 to 5 years
Abstract:Language and literacy develop in young children through their interactions. In the preschool period, graphomotor activities are very important as they help children develop skills that are essential for writing and graphomotor development. In the thesis entitled "The Influence of the writing tool on the graphomotor skills in children aged 3 to 5 years," we presented the basics of literacy, writing, graphomotor abilities, graphomotor development, graphomotor disorders, suitable pens for graphomotor development, and the chapter on laterality, where we described left-handedness and right-handedness in more detail in the introductory chapters of the thesis. The purpose of the empirical part of the thesis was to investigate and determine the differences and similarities in the performance of various graphomotor activities in children aged 3 to 5 and how the pen grip affects the child's graphomotor abilities. Observation was carried out once, and data was collected using qualitative techniques. In this part, we formulated research questions and hypotheses, which we confirmed or refuted in the concluding part of the thesis. The results of the study showed that the most differences were visible in the pen grip, specifically in the pen grasp, while similarities were observed in the child's body posture. We learned that there is a visible connection between the first, second, and third planned activities, as children improved their graphomotor abilities through activities that were designed to progress from easier to more difficult ones.
