Title:Encouraging linguistic creativity of preschool children
Abstract:In the theoretical part of master's thesis entitled Encouraging Linguistic Creativity of Preschool Children, we presented creativity and speech and their development in children in detail. A child's speech development depends on mental and physical development, and the environment, which is mostly represented by family, peers and the work of a preschool educator, also plays an important role. Speech develops through developmental stages in which there are large individual differences between children. The child communicates with the environment through creative expression. We presented the theoretical content of language creativity and the issue of its implementation in educational institutions. In the empirical part, we investigated to what extent it is possible to stimulate linguistic creativity in a period of 3 months. Thus, we checked the progress of the control and experimental group in telling the story with pictures of a mouse, an umbrella and a hedgehog. With the experimental group, we carried out guided and planned activities for the development of language creativity, which we designed ourselves, between the initial and final examination. We concluded that the children of the experimental group progressed faster in language creativity than the children of the control group despite the short duration of the research. This is how we realized how important encouragement and practice are for the development of a child's linguistic creativity.
