Abstract:Diplomirana medicinska sestra ima v ambulanti družinske medicine pomembno vlogo pri prepoznavanju prekomerne telesne mase in debelosti. Debelost v današnjem času namreč predstavlja neodvisen dejavnik tveganja za nastanek srčno žilnih obolenj, prezgodnjo invalidnost in celo umrljivost. Pri delu potrebuje pridobljene kompetence, znanja in veščine, s katerimi lažje presodi tveganje za nastanek resnih bolezni, povezanih s prekomerno telesno maso in debelostjo.

Title:Recognising increased body weight and obesity of a patient treated in a model of family medicine
Abstract:Graduate nurses play an important role in the family medicine clinics when identifying increased body mass and obesity in their patients. Nowadays, obesity represents an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, premature disability and even mortality. While working, a graduate nurse needs acquired competence, knowledge and skills to better assess the risk of serious illnesses associated with overweight and obesity.
