Abstract:Uvod: Zdravstveni delavci so v paliativni oskrbi izpostavljeni težjim stresnim situacijam, kot so trpljenje, umiranje in smrt bolnikov. Metode: V zaključnem delu smo uporabili sistematični pregled strokovne in znanstvene literature v angleškem jeziku. Iskali smo v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE, ScienceDirect in Web of Science.

Title:Risk factors of burnout syndrome dimension among palliative care healthcare professional
Abstract:Introduction: In palliative care, healthcare professionals are exposed to difficult, stressful situations such as suffering, dying and death of patients. They offer support to patients and their families. The thesis aimed to investigate the risk factors for burnout among health care workers in palliative care. Methods: The thesis used a systematic review of English's professional and scientific literature. We searched in the PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE, ScienceDirect and Web of Science databases. The Joanna BriggsInstitutes' assessment tool have used to evaluate the selected articles. The synthesis of the data will be based on the thematic theoretical framework. Results: Six systematic review papers were included in the analysis. Healthcare professionals are doing more demanding jobs, working overtime, taking difficult ethical decisions, providing care to seriously ill patients and caring for their autonomy. Over time, these situations affect how you feel, leading to mental, physical, and emotional overload or burnout syndrome. Discussion and conclusion: Healthcare professionals in palliative care need to know the risk factors that trigger burnout. It is important to identify symptoms of burnout early and apply or implement measures to prevent burnout before they become severe.
