Ima eno generacijo letno z dvema pojavoma in sicer spomladi v času intenzivne rasti hmelja in poleti v času oblikovanja storžkov. A. s. lambda-cihalotrin bo v Evropski Uniji kmalu prepovedana, zato smo v raziskavi preučevali možnost obvladovanja hmeljevega bolhača v spomladanskem času z alternativnimi metodami z nizkim tveganjem, kot so biostimulanti, regulatorji rasti, gnojila, repelenti.

Title:Control of Hop Flea Beetle (Psylliodes attenuatus Koch) on Hops (Humulus lupulus L.)
Abstract:The hop flea beetle (Psylliodes attenuatus Koch) is the most common pest on hops (Humulus lupulus L.), which also feeds on hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) and stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.). It has one generation per year with two occurrences, one in springtime when the hop plants growth intensely, and the other in the summertime when the plants formulate cones. When the hop flea beetle exceeds the economic threshold it is recommended to use insecticides. Active ingredient (a. i.) lambda-cyhalothrin and cyantraniliprole are currently registered pesticides for hops. Because a. i. lambda-cyhalothrin will soon be prohibited in the European Union, the thesis focuses on the possibility of managing the hop flea beetle with low-risk methods such as biostimulants, growth regulators, fertilizers and repellents in spring. Some of the products, used in the research are stimulators for the growth and development of hops, but they have no effects on reducing the damage caused by the hop flea beetle. Counting the number of hop flea beetles is not a good method for determining the effectiveness of preparations, simply because flea beetles are very mobile. The lowest numbers of hop flea beetles were found on the plots where the insecticides Karate Zeon 5 CS (a. s. lambda-cyhalothrin), Exirel (a. s. cyantraniliprole), and alternative preparation Algo-Plasmin (several times used) were used. The damage on hop leaves from the hop flea beetles was statistically significantly lower where the contact insecticides Karate Zeon 5 CS and Exirel were used. Among the alternative preparations, there were minor damages on the hop leaves from the hop flea beetle where we used Algo-Plasmin, CutiSan and Envelope. This research indicates that some alternative preparations can partially limit the damage caused by hop flea beetles in springtime, but that is not comparable to the use of contact insecticides.
