Abstract:V diplomskem delu implementiramo sistem za razpoznavanje drevesnih značilnosti iz fotografije. Sistem v obliki mobilne aplikacije omogoča zajem fotografije drevesa in razpoznavo drevesnih značilnosti na zajeti fotografiji. Na podlagi razpoznanih značilnosti ter podane razdalje med drevesom in mobilno napravo sistem oceni višino in biomaso drevesa ter količino ogljika, ki ga vsebuje. V mobilni aplikaciji je moč nastale zapise med seboj primerjati, ter tako spremljati rast drevesa. Tekom diplomskega dela opišemo zgradbo sistema, razložimo delovanje posameznih funkcij in podamo rezultate.

Title:Recognition of tree features from photography using convolutional neural networks
Abstract:In the thesis we implement a system for recognition of tree features from photography. The system in form of a mobile application provides a possibility to capture a photo of a tree, and execute recognition of tree features from the captured photo. Based on the recognized features and provided distance between the tree and the mobile device, system is able to estimate tree height, tree biomass, and amount of carbon stored in the tree. In the mobile application, it is possible to compare the resulting tree records among each other, thus observing tree growth. In the course of the thesis, we describe the structure of the system, explain the operation of individual functions, and provide the results.
