Iskanje je bilo opravljeno v podatkovnih bazah: ScienceDirect, PubMed, Web of Science in SAGE. Za prikaz izbora literature smo uporabili diagram PRISMA flow. Podatke smo analizirali in sintetizirali s pomočjo vsebinske analize izbrane tematike.

Title:Spiritual care of a family with a dying child
Abstract:Introduction: The death of a child is relatively rare in today's world, but it is the most tragic event for a family. When a child dies, the family experiences psychosocial and spiritual suffering, which can develop into complicated mourning. Spiritual care could ease the family's suffering and make it easier for them to accept the child's death. Methods: A narrative review, analysis and synthesis of scientific and professional literature were conducted. The search was performed in the following databases: ScienceDirect, PubMed, Web of Science and SAGE. We used the PRISMA flow diagram to display the literature selection. We analyzed and synthesized the data using content analysis. We critically evaluated the selected articles using an assessment tool. Results: There were 126 records in total, and we included six articles in the final analysis, where we discovered three main subtopics: feelings and emotions of a family with a dying child, spiritual and religious needs of a family with a dying child, and sources of help and support. We discovered that the family needs support from health professionals and that spirituality is a source of strength for them. Discussion and conclusion: The umbrella review results indicate that spiritual care would make it easier for the family to experience the death of a child. We can also conclude from the results that further research and education of healthcare workers about their spirituality and how to offer it to patients and their families is needed in this area.
