Abstract:Možganska kap je izguba možganske funkcije zaradi motnje v prekrvitvi možganov. Povzroča hude posledice za kakovost življenja. Čimprejšnja rehabilitacija pomembno prispeva k izboljšanju okrevanja in bolnikove samostojnosti. Proces iskanja virov smo prikazali z uporabo PRISMA diagrama. Izvedli smo vsebinsko analizo in sintezo podatkov.

Title:Using virtual reality for upper extremities rehabilitation after a stroke
Abstract:A stroke is a loss of brain function due to a disruption in blood flow to the brain. It causes severe consequences on quality of life. Rehabilitation significantly contributes to improving recovery and patient independence. The purpose of the final work is to present the success of upper limb rehabilitation after a stroke, using virtual reality. We systematically reviewed the scientific literature in the field of stroke rehabilitation using virtual reality. The search process was shown using the PRISMA diagram. We performed content data analysis and synthesis. We included 14 studies in the final review. We have come to the conclusion that the effect of exclusive use of virtual reality is similar to conventional rehabilitation therapy. Most researchers show that rehabilitation is more effective when virtual reality is combined with conventional rehabilitation method. The inclusion of virtual reality in therapy has positive effects on mental health, resulting in long-term use and adherence to the rehabilitation program. Virtual reality is best used as an adjunct to conventional upper extremity rehabilitation of stroke patients. It is easy to use, has very few side effects, and will be financially more affordable over time. In the future, the use of virtual reality could effectively replace or support classic methods of rehabilitation.
