Title:Coexistence of guests and their pets in tourist accommodations in the Pomurje region
Abstract:Animals are known for their effect on enriching human lives since the ancient times. The attitude of people towards animals depends on each individual and differs depending on the animal alongside them, which animal is being used for food, which one for fun and which one is suitable for traveling and staying with their owners on holidays. In the thesis we presented the attitude of people towards (domestic) animals through history focusing on the present, domestic animals and traveling with them and their co-stay with owners in tourist accommodations. We researched tourist accommodations in the Pomurje statistic region, which enable domestic animals to co-stay alongside their owners. We found out, which types of tourist accommodations in the Pomurje statistic region most commonly decide to offer co-staying of domestic animals (pets) with their owners and what are the reasons for their decision for such offers, what are the pros and cons of these offers and what rules or requirements do tourist accommodations set in case if their guest - alongside a human guest is also his/her domestic animal.
