Rezultate smo pridobili s pomočjo deskriptivne metode raziskovanja z enkratnim preverjanjem. Zanimala nas je vsebina zgodbe, zapisane povedi, besede, uporabljena pisava in vrstni red sličic.

Title:Picture based story writing in the second year of primary school
Abstract:This master’s thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part we introduced all 4 components necessary for successful communication: listening, speaking, reading and writing. A major part of this thesis deals with speaking, since it is essential for the development of reading and writing. A child learns and is preparing to read and write from birth. When parents encourage their children, read appropriate literature to them, talk with them about what they read, and ask questions about the contents of the stories, they can influence and improve a child’s knowledge in important ways and therefore have a significant impact on the child’s development of these skills. As a result, the child acquires a bigger vocabulary, as well as various experiences and habits which will help them when starting school for the first time. In the conclusion of the theoretical part, we talked about storytelling, student’s creativity and their independent text writing. The empirical part of this master’s thesis was based on researching student’s stories, which they wrote based on pictures presented to them. Practical research was performed in the second year in a primary school in Maribor. Results were attained with the help of the descriptive method with a one-time data verification. We were interested in the content of the student’s stories, sentences and words they used, whether they used upper- or lower-case letters, the sequence they put the pictures in, mistakes in the story and last but not least, if they titled their stories.
