Title:Analysis of the health state and physical efficiency of employees in the nursing team
Abstract:Introduction: Musculoskeletal disorders are worldwide known as one of the biggest problems that about 84% of the world's population encounters once in a lifetime. They are described as the subjective experiences of the individual, best understood by addressing the complex interactions between physical, psychosocial, and sociocultural influences on an individual’s perception of health and well-being. From this point of view, the purpose of the review is to examine the activities that are crucial for their prevention. Methods: We used the method of review, synthesis and analysis of scientific literature and the method of compilation. Throughout the review, we followed the PRISMA guidelines and used the Joanna Briggs Institutes assessment tool to evaluate the articles. Thematic analysis of the data was used to present the data analysis. Results: Of the 1485 identified hits, eight articles were included in the final analysis. We identified five secondary themes that were related to the elements of treating musculoskeletal pain in nursing teams: (1) Approach to MSD; (2) MSD aspects; (3) Environment that supports MSD, (4) Impact of physical activity on MSD and (5) Barriers of physical activity to prevent MSD. Discussion and conclusion: Based on the included reviewed articles, the relevance of a healthy lifestyle and the inclusion of physical activity to prevent and reduce the incidence of symptoms of musculoskeletal pain in nursing teams was determined.
