Abstract:V raziskovalnem delu ugotavljamo vpliv intenzivnosti zimske rezi in talnega gnojenja s kalcijevim nitratom na fiziološko ravnovesje dreves ter izbrane parametre kakovosti in skladiščne sposobnosti pridelka jablan sorte 'Jonaprince'.

Title:Measures for Improving the Physiological State of the 'Jonaprince' Apple Variety (Malus domestica Borkh.)
Abstract:In the presented research, the influence of the intensity of winter pruning and soil fertilization with calcium nitrate on the physiological balance of apple trees of ‘Jonaprince’ variety and selected parameters of quality and storage capacity of fruits was explored. The experiment was carried out in 2020 and 2021 at the orchard owned by Branko Juhart in Štuki near Grajena. The results indicate that soil fertilization with calcium nitrate increased the concentration of calcium in the soil solution, but this was not directly evident in the fruits. Stronger winter pruning accelerated the intensity of shoot growth, which resulted in a lower yield and a higher average fruit weight with a higher proportion of fruits of first quality class. After the standard winter pruning, the response in the intensity of the growth of apple trees was lower, which is more appropriate from a physiological stability of the crop point of view. In this particular experiment, the combined measure of standard winter pruning and soil fertilization with calcium nitrate, mainly due to the unconfirmed effect of the latter in fruits, did not prove as a measure to increase physiological stability and storage capacity of the yield.
